My goal my ambition

“Rara, what do you want to be in the future?”

I must say, nothing. I don’t really have a dream job, or profession. Unlike teenager around my age, when i ask ‘what do you want to be in the future’, they have the asnwer. But i dont.

I used to take many kinds of courses. Music, languages, sport. I took piano lessons for 8 years, i took vocal lessons for 1 year, i took horse-riding lessons for 4 years, i took taekwondo lessons for 1 year.

The truth is, i never really enjoy all the lessons i took. Maybe, because all of that forced courses, i started to lose my passion for everything-Wait! Not everything! I thought about it, i do enjoy languages lessons. Well, i’m always excited for korean lessons, and i’m always happy when my driver drive me to TBI, well, mandarin’s do be freaking hard. But i enjoy the lessons. Now, i can fluently speak five different languages. English, Indonesian, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.

One day, there’s an audition at school for storytelling. I was interested because storytelling was new for me. I thought that, i may have an advantage when i audition because of my accent, and i’m always confident when i speak at public. So i went to the audition, and i passed. My teacher told me that i’ll participate in a national level competition. Goodness! Holy mackerel! I never thought that i’ll participate in a big competition right away!

But guess who got second place? Me! I was in dibelief when the judges announced the runner up. Good heavens! I’m in second place! Who would’ve thought that my first competition went very smoothly?

You see, I do not lose my passion for everything. In fact, i do have a hobby, reading books. I loves book. I like reading, i like to read any kinds of book. From Harry Potter to the life-changing magic of tidying up by Marie Kondo. Here are some of my favorites, Himpunan by Citra Saras, Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys, Before the coffee gets cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi, and Toto-chan by Ketsuko Kuroyanagi.

With my love for literature, i started to write. I love to write a short story, i write some lyrics too, and i love to write some poems/poetry too. Oh! And i sometimes write an essay too. I once write a school-life teenlit story in wattpad. I published 10 chapters at that time. And the surprising thing was people put spotlight on my story. Now i have my own readers!

I always thought that, ‘i’ll just have to wait for my parents decision’. All my life, my parents always decided my life for me. So i thought that they will decided what i’ll become in the future too.

But i realized, my life is my own. No one can decide the future for me. Eventhough, i still don’t have my dream job or profession, but at least, i do have some talents to cultivate! I can do whatever i want right?

My Last Holiday

January 12, 2020 My Last Holiday I went for a spiritual trip to Saudi Arabia to do Umrah. I stayed at Medina for three days and two nights. after that i went to Mecca and stayed that for six days and five nights. after nine full day of praying at Mecca and Medina, i went to Turkey to have fun. My flight to Istanbul from Jeddah was at 5 p.m but I arrived at the airport at 3 p.m so I waited for a couple of minutes. The flight to Istanbul was 3 hours, quite a long time, but I entertained myself by watching movies so that it doesn't felt that long. I finally arrived in Istanbul at 8.30 p.m, but I went straight to Local Immigration because I had flight to Cappadocia at 9.15 p.m. It was an exhausting day. Sunday, 7 a.m, i've had my breakfast and took a shower, after that me and my family went to one of the underground city in Cappadocia, we saw underground houses, it was so magnificent, how does old people lived in a house build underground without technology, w

The Ugly Duckling

The Ugly Duckling January 15, 2020 Once upon a time down on an old farm, lived a duck family, and Mother Duck had been sitting on a clutch of new eggs. One nice morning, the eggs hatched and out popped six chirpy ducklings. But one egg was bigger than the rest, and it didn't hatch. Mother Duck couldn't recall laying that seventh egg. How did it get there? TOCK! TOCK! The little prisoner was pecking inside his shell. "I can't understand how this ugly duckling can be one of mine!" she said to herself, shaking her head as she looked at her last born. Well, the gray duckling certainly wasn't pretty, and since he ate far more than his brothers, he was outgrowing them. As the days went by, the poor ugly duckling became more and more unhappy. His brothers didn't want to play with him, he was so clumsy, and all the farmyard folks simply laughed at him. He felt sad and lonely, while Mother Duck did her best to console him. Then one day, at
